Privacy Policy for Tap2Meet
Effective date: May 2, 2026
Tap2Meet is an iOS app designed to help users start in-person introductions and share selected contact information. This Privacy Policy describes what information the app may store, how it is used, and what choices you have.
Information you provide
Tap2Meet may store information that you choose to enter into the app, including:
- Your display name.
- Your selected contact details, such as social handles, phone number, or other contact methods you add.
- Your profile photo, if you choose to add one.
- Your selected meeting screen, contact card, refusal message, and custom scenario settings.
- Recent meeting history, if this feature is enabled in the app.
You decide what information to add and what information to show during an in-person meeting flow.
How information is used
Tap2Meet uses your information to provide the core app features, including:
- Creating and displaying your contact card.
- Generating QR codes for selected supported contact methods.
- Running meeting screens and custom introduction scenarios.
- Saving your app preferences and selected settings.
- Showing recent meeting history if you enable that feature.
- Providing Pro subscription features if you purchase Tap2Meet Pro.
Local storage
Tap2Meet is designed primarily for local, on-device use. Your profile, contact settings, scenario settings, and app preferences are stored on your device.
If recent meeting history is enabled, that data is stored locally on your device and protected with encryption.
Photos
Tap2Meet may request access to your photo library only when you choose to add or update a profile photo. The app uses the selected photo for your in-app profile and contact card features.
Tap2Meet does not require photo access unless you choose to use a photo-based feature.
Purchases and subscriptions
Tap2Meet may offer optional Pro features through in-app purchases or auto-renewable subscriptions. Purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store.
Tap2Meet may check your App Store purchase status to unlock active Pro features. Payment information is handled by Apple, not by Tap2Meet.
Third-party services
Tap2Meet may rely on Apple services that are part of iOS, such as App Store purchases, StoreKit, Photos, Keychain, and local device storage.
If you choose to share a social handle, QR code, phone number, or other contact method with another person, that sharing is initiated by you.
Data sharing
Tap2Meet does not sell your personal information.
Tap2Meet does not create a public dating profile, does not provide online matching, and does not publish your contact details to a public directory.
Information may be shared only when required by law, needed to comply with legal obligations, or when you choose to show or share it during app use.
Data deletion
You can delete or reset app data using the delete/reset option inside the app settings where available. You can also remove locally stored app data by deleting the app from your device.
If you have an active subscription, deleting the app does not automatically cancel the subscription. Subscriptions must be managed through your Apple ID subscription settings.
Children’s privacy
Tap2Meet is not intended for children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the app, please contact us.
Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date on this page.
